Single Tickets on Sale May 20

The Mcknight Center for the Performing Arts opens single ticket sales-three months earlier than expected

Beginning May 20, The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts will open single ticket sales to individual performances. As a result of unprecedented interest in the 2019-2020performance lineup, The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts has pushed up its single ticket sales to May, three months earlier than expected.

“We are thrilled with the community’s evident excitement about The McKnight Center,” Marilynn and Carl Thoma Executive Director Mark Blakeman said.“We’ve put a lot of thought into curating the right mix of performances that will entice a variety of folks — from performing arts experts, to those who may be attending a musical for the first time. We are just six months out from our grand opening, and we believe that opening ticket sales early will only further attract the community.”

Starting in October of this year, The McKnight Center will offer an array of programming opportunities in its cutting-edge performance facility and outdoor plaza. Noteworthy offerings include an unforgettable Halloween performance by organist Peter Krasinski, who will bring life and music to the 1925silent film The Phantom of the Opera, an incredible production by Cirque Mechanics, which promises to be full of theatricality and thrills, and the world-renowned musical stylings of Tulsa-based soprano Sarah Coburn, among many others.

The New York Philharmonic will kick off the Inaugural Season during the Opening Night Gala and Concert. TonyAward-winner and Oklahoma native Kelli O’Hara will join them on stage, lending her brilliant talent in a performance with the venerated symphony.

The McKnight Center’s first public performance by the New York Philharmonic will take place on October 12 at 7:30 p.m. and is expected to sell out. Tickets to all shows are in high demand. To guarantee the best seats theater-goers are encouraged to order early by visiting McKnightCenter.org or by calling (405) 744-9999.
